Delivering anime that will always remain in the hearts of viewers
What we consider most important are the fans who look forward to our works.
Those fans who cry, laugh, and have their hearts touched by the stories we bring to life....
Thinking of each and every face on the other side of the screen, we wish to create animation that makes them say to themselves, “I am glad I encountered this animation”, that makes them want to watch it over and over again.
As a studio, we strive to deliver animation that will remain in the hearts and minds of our fans, while challenging new forms of expression and experimenting with various genres without focusing on any particular style.
We take care of materials, schedule, budget, and quality control. To bring the production to completion, we mediate other departments while building a wide range of knowledge and experience.
Our department comprises of 3DCG,Art, Coloring, Cinematography, Editing, and Design. Our strength lies in in-house production in which the goal images are shared with all creators involved.
We are in charge of directing the creative work site, including the storyboards. After gaining experience starting from episode directors, our members are eventually promoted to directors.
We take care of drawing both by conventional hand-drawing and by digital tools. Although subcontracting to freelance animators is the current mainstream, we actively adopt employee system.
We are responsible for illustrations, merchandises, and advertisement of our titles. Furthermore, by coordinating our events with original goods, we enrich opportunities to enjoy our works.
We take care of preproduction tasks while constructing business schemes with domestic and global partners. We also involve overseas creators in our production to enhance the creativity of our titles.
At Sendai studio, we are mainly responsible for the processes of in-between animation and digital painting. By promoting digital in-between animation instead of the traditional method of pencil on paper, it enables us to achieve consistent work from the animation stage all the way to the digital paint process, as well as to facilitate early entry of animators into actual projects. In the future, we plan to establish a CGI section for 3DCG, compositing, and backgrounds, while aiming at finalizing internally the in-between animation section and the digital paint section.
The anime industry continues to grow along with the expansion of international markets. By building a more stable production base, our primary goal now is to increase the percentage of in-house production through increasing employment in order to meet rising demands. Our Sendai studio is actively involved in recruitment activities, collaborating academically with various vocational schools and universities in the Tohoku region. We intend to actively hire both new graduates and experienced employees, and to function as a receptacle for young people who aim at pursuing careers in the creative field, while also improving the education level and strengthening our organizational structure.
Osaka Studio opened in 2023 as a satellite office of the CGI Department. The studio is primarily staffed by the 3DCG section artists who mainly rely on using 3dsMax and Blender. Transcending the physical distance, our new graduates and mid-career employees have collaborated with their peers from HQ, showing the same level of growth as those who are working in our Tokyo studio.
Located in the center of Osaka, it is easy for our artists to commute to the studio from neighboring prefectures, making it an attractive place to be at the forefront of the anime industry while residing in the Kansai area. We actively recruit local staff, and regularly hold seminars, internships, and company tours with various vocational schools and universities in Kansai in accordance with our commitment to disseminate industry information and discover young talent.
In the future, we are considering having other departments such as the CGI Department's background art section, the Animation Department, and the Production Department, join our team in Osaka, with the aim of creating a functional production equivalent to that of Tokyo.
